A washed-out world of no colour, like an endless low-clouded, grey dawn, is a prospect so depressing and alien that it is difficult to comprehend. We need colour around us, in the natural world and in our homes, on our walls and floors, in our textile and art.
Yet, despite this need to surround ourselves with colour, finding the right colours for interior decoration can be daunting prospect, and inspiration can seem far away. But it is not that far.
